The product I am looking to have made is not listed. Are you able to make it?

I love custom ideas, so feel free to ask. If it's something that I am unable to make, I am happy to point you towards someone who can.

What materials do you use?

Keepsakes are typically created using loved ones clothing. We will discuss what pieces work best. Other creation are made using high quality fabrics and color options you can choose from. I will share what is available before confirming.

How long does a custom piece take?

Turnaround depends on the project size. Once I know the details, I will provide a realistic estimate.

What is your price range and do you require a deposit?

Starting prices can be found on the Custom Order Form page. Prices vary by size and materials. Deposits are required to cover material and your spot. Larger and detailed orders typically require a deposit while smaller, in-stock items may not.

What is your shipping and pickup process?

Shipping cost depends on size, weight, and destination of your order. I will calculate it for you before we finalize the order.
Local pickup is available in Harvard, IL, right near the Illinois-Wisconsin border. The address will be provided after purchase. For special cases, I can arrange a meeting point for pickup. However, it is not always possible. Just ask and I will let you know if I can. If not, local pickup is usually the easiest option.

What got you started with custom keepsakes?

My love for sewing began with my grandma who taught me the basics. In 2013, I took a sewing fashion class in high school. For my final project, I made a baby blanket for my baby brother. That project earned 100%, but more importantly, I discovered how meaningful a handmade gift could be. When I got married, I sewed a small blue heart made from one of my dad's shirts inside my wedding dress. This allowed me to carry a piece of him that day. When my husband and I welcomed our first child, I made her baby blanket using t-shirts that belonged to both of us. Some of the squares included a memorial shirt honoring my dad. Not long after, I created my first memory bear from my dad's police uniform for my daughter. Watching her hug that bear made me realize how keepsakes can preserve love. Today, every piece I create carries that same intention. I pour the same care into each project as I do for my own family. It's an honor to help others preserve the memories that mean the most to them.

What does Savvy Crafts stand for?

Savvy Crafts is more than just a name. It's a reflection of who I am and what I believe handmade gifts should represent. "Savvy" was my nickname growing up, and "Crafts" grew naturally from my love of creating. Together, they stand for creativity, quality, and heart. At Savvy Crafts, I believe every stitch tells a story. Whether I'm making a memory bear from a loved one's clothing, a t-shirt quilt filled with milestones, or a personalized gift for a special occasion. My goal is to turn meaningful moments into keepsakes that can be treasured for generations. Handmade with heart, crafted with purpose, treasured for a lifetime.
