How Savvy Crafts began
Long before Savvy Crafts became a business, sewing became part of my own story. My very first meaningful project was a baby blanket I made for my younger brother as my final project in high school fashion class. I had no idea then that one project would begin a lifelong passion for creating handmade gifts.
I continued sewing and discovered how much joy it brought me. Before long, friends and family began asking me to make baby blankets, knotted fleece blankets, cheer bows, and other custom creations. Their encouragement inspired me to turn my passion into something bigger, and in 2014, Savvy Crafts was born.
Keeping loved ones close
When I was seven years old, my dad who was a police officer, passed away. My husband and children never had the chance to know him, but I wanted them to have a way to feel connected to the incredible man who shaped my life. When I got married, I sewed a small blue heart from one of my dad's police shirts into my wedding dress so he could, in a way, walk beside me on one of the most important days of my life. Today, my children have keepsakes made from his clothing so they can hold onto a piece of the grandfather they never had the opportunity to meet.
Those keepsakes are more than fabric and thread. They are reminders that love doesn't end with loss. They keep stories alive, spark conversations, and help memories live on through the next generation.

As a wife and mom, I know how quickly children grow, how fast milestones come and go, and how precious our memories become. Building Savvy Crafts allows me to do what I love while creating a life where I can be present for my family. With the hope to transition to working from home with Savvy Crafts full-time, I will have the flexibility to be there for life's little moments, while also helping other families preserve theirs.
